Exploring Gower on horseback

Just 18 miles long, the Gower peninsula is blessed with such a wide variety of spectacular scenery packed into such a small space. No wonder it was the UK’s first-ever designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB 1956). What’s more, most of its beauty is accessible, and offers free and unrestricted access to its miles of sandy beaches and its moody moorlands and marshes.

Our family loves to explore Gower in many different ways: walking on our own two legs, cycling on two wheels, and since Freddie the horse has become the latest addition to the family, our girls have started to see Gower from a new perspective from the saddle of their four-legged friend.

What I like about Gower on horseback is that you can have a new experience. You and your horse can see the same thing and you can enjoy this bond. Watching the sunset after a long ride is just beautiful.
