Welcome back to Gower/Croeso yn ôl i’r Gŵyr

We were delighted to welcome guests from within Wales back to Bayview in time for the Easter Holidays. It was lovely to see people out and about enjoying the grounds (and the weather) here in Oxwich. We celebrated by organising an Easter Egg Hunt (socially distanced!) and everyone enjoyed.

On Monday, 12th April we were finally able to welcome back guests from outside Wales to our brand new luxury houses, two apartments, and chalets. A lovely time of the year to see the grounds at Bayview bursting into life and the bluebells starting to appear in our private woodland.

Although hospitality doesn’t open up outside here in Wales for another week or so, there’s plenty to be doing. Non-essential shops, hairdressers and beauty salons are already open along with the great outdoors.

Our three girls recently enjoyed a socially distanced picnic with their grandparents, walking from Bayview to the beach and having fun playing in the dunes. They also explored the  spectacular Nature Reserve we have here in Oxwich. Although it’s sometimes hard for our girls and visitors to drag themselves off the wonderful award-winning beach, there’s a wildlife oasis just waiting to be explored just behind the dunes. The reserve is made up of a bewitching mix of beach, sand dunes, lakes, woodlands, cliffs and salt and freshwater marshes – in fact, it’s rare to have so many different habitats in such a relatively small area in the UK.

On the way back to Bayview, they took a pit stop at The Dunes, our local village store, coffee shop, gift shop and much, much more.  www.Facebook.com/TheDunesCafeandShopOxwich . The girls went for ice-cream but our Bayview guests might like to know that the store is open for all essential food items you might need while you’re self-catering and you can also get yourself some traditional fish and chips to brings back to your accommodation or eat alfresco.

Welcome back to Bayview. We’re booking fast (in fact, we’re almost full throughout the year) but please contact Wanda or Michael to see what is available or to take advantage of any cancellations that might come about.
