We’re blessed with some of the best Welsh food, beverage and artisan producers here in Gower. At Bayview, Oxwich we’re proud to support these award-winning businesses and the distinctive taste of their products, grown, grazed, picked and produced within the sight of the sea.
The Gower Gin Company www.thegowergincompany.wales deserves a particular shout out during these times of Coronavirus for the way they have diversified their operation here in Gower to produce hand sanitisers for our Key Workers and NHS Heroes as well as maintaining production of their distinctive brand and range of delicious Gower Gins.
This is the real spirit of Gower: a non-for-profit activity that has already seen several thousands of hand sanitisers donated to key workers. Recently they’ve begun working with another Welsh business @TheGoodwashco (another socially motivated and ethical company) to produce a beautiful eco-packaged DIOLCH (Thank you) box containing 200ml of Gower Gin Hand Sanitiser, a 250ml bottle of Goodwash Hand lotion, as well as a DIOLCH soap bar and so far thousands have been donated to those on the front line.
There’s been a competition to win a hamper and you can be part of this mission by going online to purchase the fabulous box for a great cause for £25 – both companies donating 100% of the proceeds to enable them to keep on donating. So go online and buy a box as your way of saying thanks.
The spirit of Gower is still available in its usual manifestation as Gower Gin in its beautifully-branded stripy bottle (responsible drinking applies) for those of you who are partial to Gins that encapsulate wonderful blends of botanicals.
