Môr Restaurant, Mumbles

Môr means sea in Welsh. And it’s the name of one of Bayview’s favourite restaurants, situated right on the sea front at Mumbles and less than a half hour’s drive from us here in Oxwich, Gower.

It positions itself as an ‘independent restaurant serving the very best local produce from the sea and the soil’. We can vouch for that, having recently taken advantage of some rare child-free time to enjoy their wonderful menu served in their tasteful indoor dining space.

We are more than happy to recommend this wonderful eatery to our guests. So if you’re looking for a lovely atmosphere, great service, a creative menu and extensive wine list, this is the place for you.

They serve snacks, starters, mains and desserts which showcase their commitment to Welsh suppliers and superior produce. All their suppliers are brands synonymous with quality. Take for example beef from Tuckers Traditional Butchers in Mumbles, oysters from Menai Oysters of north Wales, and scallops and dressed crab from Coakley’s of Mumbles too. The pork is delicious and sourced from Penlan Heritage Breed pigs. You can really taste the difference. And of course, there’s the now protected brand name of Gower Salt Marsh Lamb, fed on the nearby samphire and lavender grasses of Gower’s northern estuary shore.
