The Magic of Christmas at Bayview Oxwich

The exciting run-up to Christmas has already started here at Bayview Oxwich and we’ve been busy decorating our luxury, self-catering holiday cottages and apartments ready to welcome our winter guests with trees and tinsel. Outside the weather is sunny clear and the first frost has fallen. All in all, Gower is looking at its magical best.

Santa has already been sighted at many Gower locations and he is planning to stay around until Christmas Eve. There’s no better time to make Bayview Oxwich your base and take the kids (or kids at heart) to see him. He’s stopping by at many locations where you can combine a visit with some shopping, a farm visit, or a festive lunch by the sea.

 Gower Heritage Centre, Parkmill

Just a 5-minute drive from Oxwich is the village of Parkmill with its acclaimed Gower Heritage Centre. Santa arrives here on 23rd November and will be there up until 24th December. To see when he’s available in his grotto where he will be giving gifts to children who promise to be good, see the website for information.

Gower Fresh Christmas Trees, Three Crosses

Beautifully located, high on Gower’s moorland, you can visit a winter wonderland. Three Crosses is just a 10-minute drive from Oxwich, but here you’ll enter another world.  And it’s here Santa is making his home for selected times from 20th November. This is a great location for parents and children who want to buy a Christmas tree, be met by elves, see a sleigh, and see a snowy magic kingdom as well as having an encounter with Father Christmas.  See website for opening times and other information.

Magical Mumbles

Mumbles is one of our favourite places here in Gower. There’s no better time to enjoy the magic of this Victorian village than at this time of year. Just 30-minutes’ drive from Oxwich, be blown away by its lights, late night shopping and array of eateries. For details of all that’s happening – including Santa who is said to be arriving on the 25th November – please see the website.

Placed right on the beach, the hotel offers roaring fires, festive lunches and the opportunity to see Santa. This is the time to believe in Oxwich. For more details and to book, please see website.
