Spoiled for Choice for Pubs in Llanrhidian, Gower
As of May this year, Llanrhidian’s Dolphin Inn has re-opened its doors. This 18th Century pub – a Gower treasure – was much missed by locals and visitors alike when it temporarily closed its doors after being run for three generations of the same family.
It’s now back at the heart of this quiet, north Gower estuary village, offering a warm welcome and a long list of real ales, in a cosy and traditional setting. This is thanks to the new owners and managers, who also own and run the fabulous Welcome to Town Inn, just across the road.
So you’ll be spoiled for choice when you take a 15-minute drive from Bayview Oxwich to this charming village. Both pubs are set on the village green with their atmospheric megaliths. Both are a step away from the 13th Century church and old mill, and both have wonderful aspects out over the Loughor estuary and salt marshes that north Gower is famed for.
