Spring at Bayview Gower
We can’t deny it doesn’t rain here in Gower and this winter we’ve had more of our fair share as has the whole of the UK. But the upside is, being so close to the sea, it’s mild and so green. At the moment it looks as if everything around us has been rinsed clean and ready for spring.
The grass on our private landscaped grounds doesn’t seem to have stopped growing and Michael has been on his ride-on mower keeping every trimmed and neat. Adjacent to the grounds are our private woods, already alive with catkins, daffodils and primroses. In a month or so they will be carpeted with bluebells, so it’s a great time to come and stay.
Our three new eco-properties are taking shape, the roofs on two of them as we speak, and one already fully booked for August. They will be a wonderful new offering alongside our beach bungalows and two luxury apartments.
We’ve been renting our apartments to rave reviews for almost four years and they too have not escaped the spirit of spring and the chance to benefit from significant makeovers. The upstairs apartment has been fully refurbished: new carpet, painted throughout, fantastic new bathroom suite with walk in shower and free-standing tub with claw feet, and new worktops for the kitchen with what must be the best views in Gower, as well as new art and soft furnishings throughout. Oh, and there’s a feature fireplace too which gives a wonderful focal point to the airy open-plan sitting area and warmth and cosiness at the flick of a switch. The downstairs flat, which is newer, hasn’t escaped the painter’s brush either, being freshened up all through as well as new mattresses for the bunk room and artwork on the walls.
