Save the date – The Gower Show 2022

At Bayview Oxwich, after the upheavals and disappointments of the Pandemic, we’re delighted to see the return of The Gower Show this year. This traditional agricultural show has played a significant part in Gower’s heritage since 1906 and is one the key dates of the year in the Gower calendar offering a chance to witness the importance of farming and production in Gower’s rural economy.

This year, the date is a little earlier so not long to wait until Sunday, 31st July when you can enjoy a fun-filled family day out in the beautiful grounds of the Penrice Estate, with its glorious aspect out over the Bristol Channel.

Here you’ll be able to see:

• The best of local farmers’ cattle, sheep, pigs and crops

• 90 classes of horse schedules

• Shire horses

• Dog shows

• The Rockwood Dog Display

• A horticultural showcase of flowers and cookery

• A honey and bee tent

• Arts and crafts and shopping gems

If you’re staying at one of our luxury holiday rental properties at Bayview Oxwich you can walk to the grounds within 10-minutes. Or take the car – plenty of space but not that much boarded or paved grass so wet weather can make it difficult for pushchair or wheel chair access.
