Since 2019 when it came under new management, we’ve been visiting as often as we can as well as signposting our guests to this stunning Swansea beach-front beach bar & kitchen overlooking the distinctive captivating coastline referred to by Dylan Thomas as “a long and splendid curving shore.”

It’s a beautiful wood-walled café blending perfectly with its coastal location that offers a contemporary mix of modern British cuisine and authentic Welsh dishes with plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes and other options for dietary requirements. It’s informal and friendly with a team of professional staff who always seem to have smiles on their faces. The chefs are talented and prepare fresh daily menus with locally sourced ingredients.

As a family, we’ve found it a great place to suits all our needs: a meet-up for coffee or cocktails, a place for an unpretentious lunch, or a late breakfast. They even have an all-day menu. And just because summer is over, you can still eat outside and take in the views and the bracing air or eat inside and enjoy the famed Sunday roast that is back on the menu.

The Secret Beach bar & Kitchen is just a 25-min drive from Bayview Oxwich so an ideal pit-stop for our guests to combine a walk in Swansea’s Maritime and Cultural Quarter or along the 3-mile sweep of Swansea Bay with some quality food and outstanding vistas.
