Well the daffodils and primroses are out here at Bayview Oxwich heralding the arrival of spring. It’s hard to believe that summer will be here soon and with it the annual Gower Festival which takes place in the first two weeks of July.

On 9th February, 2024, the much-anticipated Big Wheel attraction now sited at Mumbles Pier opened its carriages to those eager to see Mumbles and Swansea like never before!

At Bayview Oxwich we love a good story. And this one takes some beating. Especially since it’s about food which is of great interest to our family here and of course, to our guests.

Forgive us here at Bayview, Oxwich for giving a shout out (again!) to yet another award that has been bestowed on one of Gower’s most iconic beaches – Rhossili Bay. But our view is that you can never have too much of a good thing!

2024 sees an ever-increasing interest in wild or open water-swimming. At Bayview we haven’t yet tried it ourselves but someone in our close family is always flagging up the benefits. It is said to be a sensory experience like no other and a chance to live in the moment and forget the stresses of everyday life. So we might just give it a go!
