Swansea.com – a city coming together for Faith in Families

Bayview is really pleased to have recently played a small part in raising money for Faith in Families, a local charitable organisation dedicated to supporting children and families in some of the most deprived areas of Swansea.

Swansea.com played a huge part in bringing businesses of the city of Swansea and Gower together at Morgan’s Hotel, Swansea at the end of October, for a fund-raising event to support Faith in Families, their chosen charity for 2021.

Faith in Families already has three family-centred bases in Swansea, and this event was aimed at a specific project: that of transforming the derelict church of St Margaret’s in Bonymaen which has been donated to the charity. Monies raised will go towards renovation of the church so that it can be open and ready to welcome some of Swansea’s most challenged children through its doors. This project has plans to cater for over thirty children and really make a long-term difference to those children and their families.

The event was a great success and raised over £25,000 in total. Guests took part in raffles and bid at the auction. Bayview is delighted that a very generous couple bid over £400 for a weekend stay with us in early January 2022. We look forward to welcoming them to Apartment 2 – our beautiful first floor luxury flat that gives stunning vistas across Oxwich Bay towards Three Cliffs and over Gower’s glorious countryside. The couple will also be treated in their home for the weekend by one of our preferred local chefs, who will prepare and deliver a very special home-cooked meal for one of the evenings of their stay.
