How Cool is Mumbles?

Well, according to journalist, Hannah Evans, in her recent article for respected newspaper, The Times, Mumbles is one of the Top 12 UK postcodes to move to in 2022. She flags up SA3, Mumbles, Swansea as the place to be “for stylish seasiders.”

This isn’t the first time the lovely Victorian seaside village, just half an hour’s drive from Bayview, Oxwich (which also has an SA3 postcode), has figured in The Times ‘best of’ lists as in 2020 Mumbles was celebrated as one of the best places to live in the UK. Whereas in 2021, Mumbles was singled out for its prestigious Oyster Wharf development, and its proposed £3000,000 skate park, the 2022 focus is on food and views, the writer flagging up the fact that those wishing to escape the city post-pandemic, don’t have to go to Cornwall for sand, sea and beautiful sunsets. You can get all that in Swansea’s suburb by the sea which is fast becoming what she terms, “The Hamptons of Wales.”
