Bayview Oxwich – open for business very soon!
It’s been a long and hard five months for everyone during lockdown and at Bayview, Oxwich it’s great to finally have some good news to share. We are delighted to say that the Welsh Government has given the provisional go-ahead for our range of luxury self-catering holiday rentals to reopen from 13th July, 2020.
It’s not been the same without our guests, and we want you to feel confident that we are not just opening, but opening safely, in line with COVID-19 safety regulations. These will reflect the ‘new normal’ and these safety changes can be read in full on this website.
There are other changes happening here at Bayview, Oxwich too: our three, brand new, architect-designed, luxury two-storey houses are progressing fast, with Tŷ Megan and Tŷ Florence on schedule to accept bookings from 1st August this year. The foundations are in for Tŷ Alice too and that house is planned to come on stream before the end of 2020.
All three houses offer independent access and the very best of holiday rental accommodation. To maximise the wonderful, views across Oxwich Bay to iconic Three Cliffs Bay, the living accommodation is on the first floor, and the sleeping, bathroom and utility areas on the ground floor. The configurations of the houses are identical and can be seen on the accompanying images.
Like our three girls, after whom the houses are named, they have been a long time coming, but are well worth the wait. The fun part is now happening and we’re busy on the internal fit-out – luxury, high-end bathrooms and kitchens, and the creation of a beachside and rustic ambience through the use of indigenous materials such as wood and stone. We’re going for a clean and spacious look through a muted colour palette and are approaching local artists and crafts’ people for individual artworks that complement our design and decoration and create a distinctive Gower sense of place.
Let’s not forget our two, luxury rental apartments which have had considerable makeovers since last season. Our first-floor apartment has had a complete repaint as well as a remodelled kitchen, a brand-new luxury bathroom and new furniture. The views stay the same as does the outside terrace! The ground-floor, pet friendly apartment has also had a repaint as well as new mattresses and soft-furnishings. Private outside space remains the same!
