Let the Outdoors in at Bayview Oxwich

Before the emergence of COVD-19, Visit Wales had designated 2020 as the ‘Year of Outdoors’ – to reinforce what Wales has to offer in terms of adventure and culture in the great outdoors. This designation seems very timely in light of the current situation and the ‘new normal’.

At Bayview Oxwich we offer you the chance – at last – to breathe out and relax. At the same time you can breathe in Gower’s distinctive sense of place, its coastline and its interiors, in a safe and socially distanced way! Let your emotions be stirred by our awe-inspiring landscapes – dramatic limestone cliffs, sandy beaches, crags, castles and churches, that have stirred our poets, writers, artists and other creatives through the centuries.

Stretch your legs. Expand your horizons. How far you want to push yourself is up to you.

Start small. Stay local
If you want to take it easy, take advantage of our lovingly tended twelve acres of private grounds here at Bayview, Oxwich. We’ve got grassland and woodland right outside your rental house, apartment or chalet, where you can take small steps and fill your lungs with fresh air and your eyes with great sea views.

Go a little further

The safe sandy three mile seep sweep of Oxwich Bay to Tor Point and renowned Three Cliffs Bay is just a stroll from Bayview but a different world. Keep to the flat beach if you like, or take the Gower Coast Path www.walescoastpath.gov.uk past the romantic Norman church and out to Oxwich Point. Bring your binoculars and explore the pristine dunescape with its abundance of rare vegetation, bird and wildlife.
